It seems that this page mentions my father, Mark Thomsen, under the "HGOco Programs for Music Professionals" heading (I was about a year old when he began his Houston Grand Opera apprenticeship). If anyone has an urge to create a profile for him, his website is at www.markthomsen.com. A biography and various media appears there. I'd start a page my self, but I'm not sure how to do it in a way that won't quickly be deleted for frivolity. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.235.227.150 (talk) 04:28, 27 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Background/History

[edit]

If I remember correctly, the Houston Opera did a series of outdoor productions in Miller Theater, Hermann Park, around 1968,'69, or thereabouts. I was young, but as I recall, free open-air Grand Opera was innovative in those days. I'd like to know more about that era in the Houston Opera's history or on the Miller_Outdoor_Theatre page; I don't have the ability to research such an addition to this page. Nixon In China World Premiere

[edit]

Was surprised to not see this listed and have just added. If there is some technical reason it was not claimed as a world premiere, please do enlighten me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Conflatuman (talkcontribs) 11:50, 1 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
